I'm considering starting a new drawing series:- portraits of teenage heroes who lay down their lives to disarm school shooters and save their classmates. These kids are sadly becoming the norm these days.
It's sickening that our country has come to this. I feel that Republican politicians are so beholden to the NRA that they don't give a shit that this is becoming so commonplace in the USA. And they're too afraid to pass legislation that might make a difference.
Kids like Riley Howell (pictured) are real heroes, but we should never place young people in situations like this to begin with. I'd love to start this series to honor them, even in a small way.
